Task events

Task status changed

Sends an email to the task assignee and project manager whenever a task moves to a new status (e.g. To Do → In Progress → Done).

Project events

Project status changed

Notifies the project manager and all super-admins when a project transitions to a different status (manual advance or auto-trigger).

Notify client on project status change

Also sends the project status change email to the client's email address. Only fires when the "Project status changed" toggle above is on.

Bug events

Bug assigned

Emails the developer when a bug is assigned or reassigned to them.

Bug status changed

Notifies the bug reporter whenever the bug moves through its lifecycle (open → triaged → in progress → fixed → verified → closed).

Revision / billing events

Revision marked as chargeable

Alerts all super-admins when an account manager marks a revision as chargeable and requests billing approval.

How notifications work

These toggles guard email + in-app notifications only. They do not affect Slack messages (configured separately under Slack settings).

Notifications are never sent to the person who triggered the action (no self-pings).
Email delivery depends on SMTP being configured under Mail settings.
In-app notifications appear in the 🔔 bell icon even if email is not configured.
Turning a toggle off takes effect immediately — no restart required.

Tip: During initial setup, turn all alerts off until you've confirmed SMTP is working (use Mail settings → Send test email). Then flip them on one at a time.
